M-Audio Axiom 49 49-Key USB MIDI Controller
|

Cowboy.... With each device I add into reason, I also will add the mastering combinator to it, and the 24band EQ. Like I'll have to 2 redrums, and each be routed to its own mastering combi. One for Highs hats and snares other for toms and kick. Same with Synths, Thor etc.. Instead of mastering the whole track, Im able to master each device. its a lot of up front work, but the rewards are there.

Yeah, that would be ideal. I've tried that before, with the 15 or so drum samples that play in one of my projects, individual compressors and maximizers on each, but the end result came out sounding like an over-compressed mess. The sound was so much narrower than before. I would like to learn the way to do it correctly. I remember Eric Prydz said in an interview that he made his tracks that way, and had no need for a master EQ.
