i feel like subtractor sounds dated.. maybe im just doing it wrong.

yeah... Reason I ended up just -ing at it... FL Studio, and Renoise... work for me...

Reason... Is great... I have not unlocked its mysteries yet.

I will start. I started using reason 2.5 and all I did was stare at it and wonder for like a month. hahaha that sucked. I think it was in 2002. not sure though.

I had reason 3 and would stare at it for months. Bout 7 months ago I got Reason 4 and its dopeness I didnt know what the heck I was doing in reason 3. But all I use now is reason 4 and a lil Sound Forge for sample editing. No Vsts or plugins needed on my end

Reason 5 is in BETA now.

Wow is no one using Reason anymore? Boo. On the Subtractor note, I haven't really enjoyed Subtractor as much as I have Thor in a combiner with 2 instances of Thor one set to the very low end bass and one set for the low grimey analog sound. On top of that you can still add Scream or any type of Flanger effect that you can set up automation for and it really makes a full deep sound for ya. Hope that makes sense and helps any other Reason producer out a little.

I still use it, I need to upgrade to 5, because I think record fills in some serous blanks that was left out.

I just have so many other projects going on right now reason isn't in the top 10 list at the moment. soon tho.
