don't i ever show up on the dang map?

when you go to the map, wait about 1 min and then hit refresh..that should bring up the flags on the map. If you aren't on there then you should see at least one flag in the middle of the ocean..these are unplottable ip addresses and Kurt plots those in the middle of the Atlantic. Many things can make an ip address "unplottable". It's very technical, but basically there are many different networks and many different companies that offer internet service to customers and sometimes it is very difficult or impossible to pinpoint the locations of them. Also there are now mobile networks..it's just kind of a mess and we are honestly lucky that we are able to see all that we can with geotracking as I'm pretty sure Kurt has manually gone through and programed everything you see from scratch..kind of created the program himself...He's soo busy I'm proud of all he has done for this site because each of the guys have a full schedule and no real time to work on the site. Everything you see on EDJ is extra time sacrificed by Logan; Kurt; and JC to make this site as bad ass as it is today. That is about as good of an explanation as I can give since I'm no IT specialist..Kurt can explain in more detail.

every connection we have to the radio, i also store in a side database. That database will save all IP addy information so ip look ups will be faster. Ontop of that, I'll be able to track down those IP's I can't currently track. I just have to finish programing that code.

In the 3 months we've done ip geo tracking, we've had over 4500 unique listeners. lots of those people connect everyday and tune in. As an example, today alone we've had 23 unique listeners.

once i finish writing the new geotracking software, I'll be able to show you real time listeners, total listener locations for that current day, a monthly break down of location for all listeners, and then a complete total of everyone.

im also able to track down more IP's as well. =)

why is the uk side of earth so much more into dNb... fan wise of course. still this question is endless...

no idea, but it tells us that we have a market out there. so lets hit that market hard and do something with the data.
