microsoft lifecam VX 5000
as the spherical ones look cooler in some cases...they aren't. This specific one will ensure very little or no glitchy motion like the everyday webcams you see that stream "jittery" video. Not that this one is seamless, but it is MUCH better and the same price. Got mine for 52.00 at Best Buy. DO NOT SPEND MORE THAN THAT!..make that your limit on price bro as there is no point getting anything "more" expensive than that. Hope that helps and by the way I know "shit" about webcams too..just bought mine and had to do the research so save yourself a little time

I have the MSVX6000 or something.. I got it from Frys..If you do get a webcam do NOT spend more the 50$. More so if you plan on using it with EDJ Radio. Also my webcam installed some extra crap that makes EDJ radio not work. Install only the drivers and skip the extra software it comes with.
Tom, i just got 3 new tips and 2 new sets of slipmats.
My deal with the house feel apart at the very last minute, ended up extending my lease again.. FUCK. But Im debating about using some of that money to get an 800 as well.

Re:

same exact process.. 'cept you'll use VLC instead of Winamp.
Because we are not on the new server yet, it still not fully automatic so I have to manually fire off a few processes.

geez I can already tell an extreme difference in quality of output. Pioneer rocks that shit!..Rane is great but apparently not as. The Rane is more "the Mercedes Benz" of mixers..but this Pioneer is ill!..highly recommend.

Two totally different mixers, options wise, but I personally like a RANE more for what I do. Better EQ. (better blends, less bleeding), Better Faders (never bleed, ever) Better built. it does needs more output though....I'd just get a bangin' amp.

Any ideas why that is?

do you know if it installed any extra software aside from the drivers?
does the midi controller work after you unplug the webcam?

Nope, I didn't install any other disks other than the driver disk. And the midi controller only works again if I uninstall the webcam drivers. Just unplugging the webcam isn't good enough. maybe I need a more current webcam, this one is from '06 and my controller is '08?? IDK

my logitec is 9 years old and works fine, but i also use the latest drivers and im ok.

Re:

get a webcam that allows for manual focus.
Like tom's vx5000 cause its small but its focus range is only 4 to 6 feet. I like mine because I can really just the hell out of it.. its a vx6000.
