EDJ Family,

We have started on the development work for the new EDJv2.5 site. This time around the design won't be changing much rather our main focus with this revision is organizing the layout, cross-linking btw features and restructuring the navigation. Basically polishing the edges and generally making the site more user friendly all the way around.

Many of your comments over the past few months have gone into our decisions and now into our 2.5 concepts. EDJ is growing FAST, over 250 unique visitors a day, 13 radio shows/6 days a week, 250 registered Artists, 150 Fans all supported on a brand new dedicated server just for EDJ....

New features on the way in this release..
-MP3 Store/Independent Artist Sales
(installed and tested)
-Launch of the Youtube and Amazon Feeds Directory
-Streaming Video (stable) release

Special thanks to all those who come and support this site or shows and EDJ, with out the users we would have no momentum driving us to improve this bass playground we have built.

just to add..

1. Video Streaming has been enabled for all DJs that have a good internet connection. How-Tos have been posted. Video has also been fully intergrated into the Radio. Still more tricks coming tho. =)
2. Server side Audio, and Video Recording has been enabled. When you log into your radio profile, you should see the links to whats been recorded. I'll add file sizes to the recordings so you tell which ones are false starts and which ones are good starts. mp3's are recorded in 96k stereo, and video FLVs are 256k streams.(160k for video, 96k for audio)

Video shows now have a Marquee in the lower corner of the video footage that says if the show is live or prerecorded and the show name. This should work starting today going forward. You should it in action if DJ/Level does video streaming today 9/1/2009

Before when you'd click on the link and there was no video.. there was a boring black screen... that made everyone sad.

Now.. I automaticly grab all the user uploaded images to the server and pipe them into the video player and over lay EDJ radio ontop of that. Its like our very own slide show!

So now is the time to start uploading SHIT LOADS OF IMAGES TO YOUR PROFILE!!

changed default frame rates in the video from 15 to 30.

change live video start up time from 90 seconds to 30.

working on seemless video switching in the coming days.

You know the radio tab with the Map that plots out where are liseners are tuned in from? Yea, I updated that for the video streaming stuff. and also changed around a lot of the code to make it faster.
