If you're not offering a live chat feature at the moment, maybe try reversing the post order in the discussion forums. For example, I am watching the live feed for DROPZONE right now. I have a browser window open with the discussion forum "Dropzone MADDNESS!!!" and I get that I have to refresh the page to see the newest posts. However, I then have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to view the newest entries or posts. I believe there is a way to make the threads display in Ascending Order instead of Descending Order. In the PHP scripting, the query string simply needs the order changed from DESC to ASC or needs to have the option added. This way when someone visits the discussion for the live show, they see the newest posts on TOP and sorted going down to the oldest entry. Just another thought!

This isn't something I'd like to turn on. Its confusing to most people who jump into things late. One top of that, this isn't your normal forum software and doesn't function the same way as most forums. We had to hack it quite a bit to get it to even function the way it currently does.

There has been talk about chat, but i've been the one to keep shooting it down because a strong forum is the heart and soul of every website. We might bring a chat feature to the site in the future, just not in the next few months.

this is the stance I take, eventually the forum will be feed in by a chat application... meaning, if and ONLY if there is a live show a chat window will be available at the top of the forum, this will link into the Admin interface of the radio where the artists are and every reply will ideally be written to and forum thread as well, for archiving.. this way you can get the feel of live chat with the archiving of the forum all while the Radio DJ's never leave the Radio interface page (no refreshing the forum)
