| "As a young child I got to hear all different types of music from salsa music to early electronic music. I always would lean towards the electronic like Art of Noise, Kraftwerk, Devo and many more. As I got older to pick and choose what I wanted to listen to I joined a band at the age of 15 called Today's Forecast with members Matt S., Steve A., Chris D. We all loved what we did and had a lot of fun with it at the time. By the age of 17 I picked up playing the guitar shortly after Today's Forecast broke up. I kept playing acoustic guitar for a very long time which opened my ears to a lot of different music out there. Bands like Dinosour Jr., Sebedoh, The Verve, My Bloody Valentine, Mercury Rev and many more to say the least. Time goes on and I started listening to newer forms of electronic music. Staying up all night to hear DJ Jeff K play on the Edge Club. I really did not get too far into it though until I went into the military and started listening to dnb. From that point on I listened to DNB all the time every day and night. I listened to the chill dnb to the hard to the totally out of this world dnb. Well to this day it still has not stopped and I hope that I will live up to that for the rest of my life. If not making it at least listening to it. I was stationed in NC where I got to be around a lot of interesting people such as Mike "Advance", Gyromite, Spencer, and a lot more people that just enjoyed a lot of the same sounds that I enjoyed. I eventually moved back to Dallas and came across a lot more people out here that enjoy it as well. To make this long story short, for the last seven years of my life I have not been able to get away from at least being around dnb. I just recently starting listening to hip hop on a regular again to open my mind back up and just hear what is going on outside the box. Well, I hope people enjoy what I have created and give some good honest feedback on what I am doing musically. Thank You and enjoy. " |
